My name is Rebecca Chappell, and I’m so excited to step into the role of Interim Student Associate here at Sugar Land Baptist Church—a place that has shaped my faith and life since I was born.
I grew up in the ministries of SLBC, where I was actively involved in children’s church, youth praise band, and the sanctuary choir. These early experiences helped foster both my love for music and my passion for ministry. I went on to earn my Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from LSU.
I’ve had the joy of being involved in student ministry both as a participant and as a leader. In 2022, I served as the youth summer intern at SLBC. More recently, I was the Children’s and Youth Ministry Associate at Broadmoor Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Now that I’m back home, I’m honored to walk alongside the next generation of students at SLBC. I look forward to encouraging meaningful relationships, creating a welcoming space, and growing together in faith.
