Women in The Word Bible Studies

Women in The Word (WITW) Bible studies meet Wednesdays, 10am on the second floor and Mondays, 6:30pm. Registration for this sessions Bible studies has closed.

  • Believing Jesus is an 8-week Bible study about the early church written by Lisa Harper. After Jesus’ resurrection, the disciples didn’t have much direction—but they had God’s spirit and a willingness to risk everything to establish a new community. Journeying through the book of Acts with biblical wisdom and modern wit, Harper retraces the apostle’s steps in the book of Acts. Led by Melinda Robinett in room 204.
  • Gentle and Lowly by Dane Ortlund is an 11-week Bible study. In this study, participants will read the book and use the study guide to understand what Jesus meant when he described himself as “gentle and lowly”. Christians know what Jesus has done – but who is he? What is his deepest heart for his people, weary and faltering on their journey toward heaven? Jesus said he is “gentle and lowly in heart”. In his book, Dane Ortlund reflects on those words opening up a central truth about who Jesus is for sinners and sufferers today. Led by Ann Brothers in room 208.
  • The Joy of Living study explores the depth of the book Revelation verse-by-verse and brings to life the mysteries of this highly symbolic book. In some ways, the scariest book in the Bible, Revelation is also one of the most comforting, reassuring, and exhilarating books. It is vibrant, alive and profoundly applicable to the times in which we live. Ladies will be studying Revelation-Part 2 in rooms 202-203. Led by Beth Ulrich and is a 9 week study.
  • Anxious for Nothing by Max Lucado. We all encounter anxiety, but we don’t have to let worry and fear control our lives. Anxious for Nothing, from New York Times bestselling author, Max Lucado, provides a roadmap for battling with and healing from anxiety. Led by Johnna Cox and meets Mondays, 6:30pm, room 222.
