My name is Miriam Billing, and I joined the SLBC team Fall of 2023. At SLBC, I coach and mentor the youth worship band and am also the resident female youth mentor. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Houston Christian University, and am a proud member of the HCU Honors College, where I studied the classics. I love discussing great books and thinking deeply about them and the way they show readers what is true about themselves, their world, and God. In addition to working with people and music, I also love writing! I write anything from poetry and songs to novels, short stories, and even musicals. Originally from Montana, I love being in nature and going on adventures. I also love reading, dancing, singing, and spending time with others having deep conversations. You can often find me at coffee shops, used bookstores, parks, and museums, and I love to spend intentional time appreciating the small details in God’s creation. I am an avid learner, and find myself reading and attending conferences about theology, literature, history, writing, and psychology as often as I can!
