Melody joined SLBC staff in 2023. She most recently lived in Philadelphia, but is a Minnesota native. She and her husband Chandler, and three young adult sons, lived in Costa Rica while serving refugees in 2018. She also worked in missions in Baja California, Mexico, and Upper Darby, PA.
After graduating nursing school in 2004, she had a 14-year-long career that included pediatrics, mental health, and corporate healthcare training. Upon realizing her call into full‐time ministry, she returned to school to be equipped for Kingdom work. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Ministries from the University of Northwestern in St. Paul, Minnesota, and a Master of Arts in Missional Theology from Missio Seminary in Philadelphia.
She enjoys watching international TV shows, eating ethnic foods, hiking, nature photography, and Minnesota sports teams. She is always on the lookout for her next new experience!
